Worrying Honey Bunny
Romaji Lyrics | English Translation | |
(It’s noisy! Noisy Honey Bunny) Shukudai chan to yatta mon! Sono gobi ga (iikata ga) Shinpai wa aijou Kimi wa noisy noisy! Onaka ga itai ka mo Urusakute (tsuyogari de) Shinpai wa aijou, Zutto zutto soba ni ita kara… Shinpai wa aijou Kimi wa noisy noisy! Okogoto bakkari! (No!) Kimi wa noisy noisy! Okogoto bakkari! (No!) |
(It’s noisy! Noisy Honey Bunny!) I did all my homework! Those little inflections (that choice of words) You worry about me because you care, You’re so noisy, noisy! I think I’ve got a stomachache… You’re always so loud (and so brash) You worry because you care, You’ve always been there by my side… You worry about me because you care, You’re so noisy, noisy! You’re always whining at me! (No!) You’re so noisy, noisy! You’re always whining at me! (No!) |
Sorry I took so long to get around to this, it wasn’t because it’s difficult so much as I was easily distracted and had other shit on my mind. V:
I like this song a lot. It’s probably my favourite of the three from this CD (yes, more than Boost Up! Beet Buster) and I guess my only translation annoyance is that ‘shinpai’ doesn’t really have a single great word that covers everything. It means to worry, to show care for, etc, and translating “shinpai wa aijou” as “you worry about me because you care” kind of nails both (and ‘care’ works quite well for aijou anyway) but the point of the song is kind of showing that, even though the ‘shinpai’ can be an annoyance, deep down they do value it – so I went with switching it from ‘worrying’ to ‘caring’ for the final use just to nail the point home.
